Long Distance Learning

Netmeeting is a program which comes free with Microsoft Windows and is perfect for long distance learning. You can use it to talk, see, write and type other people live over the Internet or, as is preferable in this case, by making a direct computer to computer connection (e.g. by phone).

Most web cams can be used in conjunction with Netmeeting. They produce a jerky video image which, although less than ideal, is adequate for tutoring. Obviously tutoring face to face is preferable but sometimes there are no alternatives.
