Show this to your parents! They can help you plan and keep to that plan!

Revision starts when you begin the course. If you make full and NEAT notes in class and homework you will find it much easier to re-read 2 years later!
If you are away you will need to copy or photocopy the section you missed.
If the teacher wants handouts returned, ask if you can photocopy them.
Ask your teacher which is the best revision guide at the moment. There are lots around and they are NOT all the same i.e. they may not cover your course.
Good planning for revision WILL save a lot of time and stress.
Produce a timetable well in advance (2/3 months). It should be split into 3 revision sessions per day. Each session should be a max. Of 2 hours (more and your brain turns to jelly!).
Strike out all times when you will not be revising e.g. Saturdays or Sundays, or one evening during the week, and when you are at school. NB check with your friends when they will have 'free' time and make sure they tally with yours. You don't want them knocking on your door when you are revising!
Note the subject you will revise in each session. Make sure you cover all your subjects!
Try to write in the actual topic/s you will cover in each session. This will save much time and anguish later.
Try to keep a normal life during this period i.e. if you are in a club (horse riding?) try to go each week and fit it into your timetable. You need stress-free time!
Give a copy of your revision timetable to your parents so they can check when you should be revising or relaxing. Pin the timetable on your wall where you revise. Stick to it and strike out each session as you go along. It feels great!
Don't stay up late before exams.
Don't eat or drink different things during revision periods (your body may object!)

Topics covered, and keywords

Students should try to have a 'word bank' i.e. key words or phrases which will help them gain extra marks in the exam and help jog memories.

Every topic you cover in geography can be broken down into a few key words or phrases. These are the ones you can put down onto 'that' postcard so you can quickly remind yourself of them. Even if you don't use 'cards' it is still a good idea to have them written out somewhere. You WILL panic at some stage and imagine you have forgotten everything. These key words will reassure you at this time.

Modern Agribusiness:
Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) - Agribusiness - European Community (EC) - grants/subsidies - price controls- use of scientific methods - chemicals - hedgerows - wetlands - conservation - factory farming.
