ABOUT ME & MY COURSES

Firstly, many thanks for visiting!

If you are seriously interested in learning Spanish, or if you already know some Spanish but would like to improve or practise it, I can be of help to you.

My name is Julio. I was born, raised and educated a Spanish-speaking country.

I am not only a native speaker of Spanish, but also a fully trained linguist with over seven years’ experience as a translator and tutor of Spanish for speakers of other languages.

Whether you have no knowledge of Spanish at all, or whether you are reading Spanish to become a university-level professional of the language, I can be of help to you.

I currently teach two main types of courses:

1. Predesigned courses
2. Tailor-made courses

PREDESIGNED COURSES

These follow a pre-established syllabus. The lessons are carefully designed to meet the needs of most individuals who want to learn Spanish as a foreign language. What’s more, lessons are adapted to meet the particular needs of each learner.

There are three pre-designed courses available at present:

1. Spanish for beginners
2. Spanish for intermediate learners
3. Spanish for advanced learners

These are mainly taught on a one-on-one basis. However, small group tuition is also available upon request.

The approach I use is communicative. However, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar will always be dealt with in each lesson.

The purpose of these courses is to help you become a user of the language, and to provide you with the knowledge and skills that will enable you to communicate fluently and effectively in any Spanish-speaking setting.

TAILOR-MADE COURSES

These are designed taking into consideration each student’s particular needs. Therefore, they are taught mainly on a one-on-one basis. Nevertheless, if you find that some of your colleagues share your same aims to learn Spanish, you can create a small group.

These courses are particularly useful for business people and for other professionals who need to use Spanish at work or in any Spanish-speaking setting.
